Stryper Book Delayed

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the coffee table book Stryper: By His Strypes will not be released this year. Through the years, Stryper has produced high-quality albums, videos, and tours -- this book will continue that tradition of quality. The original release date of December 2009 has been pushed back to February 15, 2010.

We offer our sincere apologies to the fans for this delay. One bright side is that the delay has allowed for some INCREDIBLE last minute additions to book!

These pictures, submitted by former Enigma Records employees as well as former Metal Edge editor Gerri Miller, are both rare and historic in the visual story of this groundbreaking band. The delay has also allowed the author to include many current pictures from the highly successful Murder By Pride tour!

Thank you for your patience -- we can't wait for you to see it!

Manic Drive Is Far From ‘Blue’ About Stryper’s Yellow & Black Attack

Canadian rockers Manic Drive, whose new album Blue (Whiplash Records/Bema Media) hits stores today, will join legendary Christian rock band Stryper as the opening act for the North American leg of their 25th Anniversary Tour. Blue will be the band’s first release through Provident-Integrity Distribution, a unit of SONY Music Entertainment. As one of Canada’s most popular Christian bands, Manic Drive earned a record seven GMA Canada Covenant Award nominations this year, taking home two awards for Rock Album of the Year and Video of the Year. The music video for their hit single “Blue” climbed to #2 on Gospel Music Channel’s rock video chart, and is a regular fixture on numerous outlets nationwide. Manic Drive has toured throughout the summer, including main stage performances at Ichthus Festival, SoulFest, Uprise Festival, Unity Christian Music Festival, Rock the Desert and JoshuaFest. In addition to heavy touring and a new radio single (”Closer”), the band has an aggressive promotional schedule which includes upcoming appearances on Live from Studio B, Atlanta Live, FamilyNet’s Mornings and the nationally syndicated mainstream morning show Daytime. Stryper is touring in support of their latest studio album Murder by Pride, which was released in July. The tour will feature all four original members wearing new yellow and black stage outfits from the original designer and performing the band’s hits from the last twenty-five years.

Breakfast At Timothy's

Stryper bassist Timothy Gaines isn't just the backbone of one of the greatest rock groups ever, but he is also a very accomplished bass guitar player. Shipping in September is his new solo CD entitled "Breakfast At Timothy's". You may be surprised at what you hear. As Timothy put it...“This will be a bass instrumental album of original pop songs. We are focusing on the songs rather than the flash and technique that is so prevalent in todays instrumental bass albums. This is an album for the listener as well as the musician. I believe the music will be getting airplay right along with songs that feature singing." Be sure to pick up your own copy of Timothy Gaines' "Breakfast At Timothy's"!

For the first time ever, Stryper opens up sound check to the public. Sound checks have always been completely private in the past, but on this tour, 50 people in each market will have the chance to witness a Stryper sound check first hand, hang with the band, take pictures, and get autographs - not to mention, a free copy of Murder by Pride!

You get:

* Official Sound Check Meet-n-Greet Pass.

* Admission into sound check where you watch first hand as the band and crew work on sound mixes, songs, and set up for the evening's show.

* Meet-And-Greet time with the band after sound check. Get your picture taken with the band, using your own camera.

* A Murder By Pride CD (We realize you hopefully already own one or more copies, but this is one for you to give to a friend, or get autographed).

* After the sound check you will be able to take photographs, talk with the band, and get autographs in a "hang out" type environment.

* Opportunity to bring 1 other Stryper item from home to have autographed, in addition to the Murder by Pride CD you will receive.
